Who we are

The Toy Shelf is a collection of games, puzzles and toys made by Kizuna Collective LLC (“Kizuna Collective”, “we”, “us”), based in Lāʻie, Hawaiʻi, USA. This policy covers The Toy Shelf: Games and Puzzles (“The Toy Shelf”) on iPhone and Android.

Information we collect

None. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, device advertising identifier or any other personal information. The app has no account system and never asks who you are.

What you do in The Toy Shelf (which toys you open, what you draw, how you play and your scores) is never recorded, sent to us or shared with anyone. The app contains no analytics, no crash-reporting service and no advertising of any kind.

Information stored on your device

A few small settings are saved only on your own device so the app remembers your choices, such as:

• the language you picked,
• your favorites, the three toys you chose on the free plan, and your chosen looks and difficulty,
• best scores and puzzle progress,
• when your free trial started, and whether the full collection has been unlocked.

This information never leaves your device and is not linked to you. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

Camera

One toy, Kaleidoscope, can use the camera to turn what is in front of you into a moving pattern. The app asks for permission first, and you can say no; the toy still works without it. The camera image is only shown on your screen while the toy is open. No photos or video are taken, recorded, saved or sent anywhere, and the camera turns off as soon as you leave the toy.

Motion sensors

Some toys respond when you tilt your phone. The tilt readings are used moment to moment to move things on screen and are never stored or sent anywhere.

Purchases

The Toy Shelf can be unlocked with a single one-time purchase. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple’s App Store or Google Play using their own payment systems. We never see your name, email address or payment details.

To confirm that a purchase went through, and to restore it if the app is reinstalled or moved to a new device, the app uses a service called RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated anonymous ID created by the app, the purchase receipt from Apple or Google, and the basic technical details that come with any internet request (such as app version, device platform, store country and IP address). It does not receive your name, email address or payment details, and this information is not used to track you or to show you ads. You can read RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

Your purchase itself is also governed by the privacy policy of the store you bought from: Apple or Google.

On a child’s device, purchases are protected by the store’s own parental controls, such as Apple’s Ask to Buy and Google Family Link, which let a parent approve any purchase.

Children’s privacy

The Toy Shelf is designed to be safe for children. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children. In particular, The Toy Shelf:

• does not show advertising or use advertising identifiers,
• does not use analytics or tracking,
• has no chat, messaging, social features or user profiles,
• does not let players share anything or contact anyone,
• does not link out to websites or other apps during play.

We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws by not collecting personal information at all. If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell, rent or share personal information, because we do not have any. The only outside service the app connects to is RevenueCat, as described above, and only for purchases. RevenueCat acts as our service provider and may not use this information for its own purposes.

Your rights and data deletion

Depending on where you live (for example, in California or the European Union), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information held about you. Because we hold no personal information, there is normally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. All app data lives on your device and is removed when you delete the app.

If you would like us to ask RevenueCat to delete purchase records associated with your device, or you have any other privacy request, email us and we will help. You can turn off camera access at any time in your device settings.

Security

The purchase check with RevenueCat is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Everything else stays on your device, protected by your device’s own security.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the date above before the change takes effect. If the app ever needed to collect personal information, this page would say so first.
